Update on the ripple blanket other bits and bobs....

My ripple blanket has doubled in size,I've just started repeating the design for the second time and I'm tthinking three repeats might just be enough for the size I want.....I soooo love how it's turning out and can't wait to finish it!
I promised to show you some of the things I bought at the craft show.....as you can see red & cream slipped into my bag when I wasn't looking lol,
and who could resist these pretties, two of them I selected for someones birthday........
I also couldn't resist popping more Ruby and Bliss into my bag as well as a christmas fat quarter to add to my stash of Christmas fabrics.....
I also bought myself a new rotary cutter as I'm having problems with cutting for long amounts of time with my old one and let me tell you it cuts like a dream and is soooo easy to use!!! I also bought some wool felt in gorgeous Chrissy colours MmMMmmm.I'll post more pic's soon of the other things I bought while at the show.
Just a query when you comment on my blog do you have to go through the word verification shamozzle???? I think I've successfully removed this option to make it easier for you to comment so if you can I'd appreciate it if you'd let me know if it worked????

What I've been up too.....

I picked up this gorgeous cup and saucer set from "House" it's by Maxwell & Williams and it's name is "Sprinkle"....just love red & white together and dots just tick all the boxes for me MMmmmm
I finally finished the second elf,now to decide whether to make them into bags or something totally different.....thinking cap on!
I've also been following Bronwyn Hayes blog and decided to take up her offer to use her "Wishes Quilt" patterns she's offering for free on her blog http://www.red-brolly.com/red-brolly/ but with one stipulation.....I can't actually start on any of the blocks till after November when I finish my studies.I'm hoping this keeps me motivated to continue studying hard and not slack off now that the end of two years long and sometimes very hard study are coming to an end this year WOOooo HOOOooo......wish me luck!

Remember these.....

I started off with these applique blocks using the Luna Notte fabric range and over the past few weeks they have been slowly sewn together into rows.......

I still have more rows to sew together but couldn't resist laying the rows on top of my bed to see how they'd look all together....now to think about if it needs a border or not, what do you thin???

And then there were four....

Look what was delivered to my letterbox this week.....two more parcels from Cheryl (no blog) my swap partner in the santa sack/stocking swap.I was very good and didn't squeeze, sniff or shake either parcel but put them both into my santa sack unmollested! Bring on December I say!!
This is a scarf I've finally finished my first OPAM for August, not much happening on the finishing stage but lots of stitching though I'll post tomorrow with a few updates on what I've been working on.
