on my heart version

I love Vicki's BOM she is doing on her blog.I was finally able to take photo's of the first four blocks but decided to do them in a totally diferent colourway. For my blocks I used a white homespun for my background fabric and for the applique shapes I raided my red and white fabric stash.I wanted the applique to stand out so I used black thread to blanket stitch around and then a dark green for the leaves.I jazzed them up a bit by adding black and white buttons where needed.I think they turned out quite well.I can't wait to start on blocks number five and six I'm thinking of turning the blocks into a table runner, what do you think?

Don't forget you can still enter my GIVEAWAY on the post below till July 25th.
Good luck to all who've entered so far.

Hexagon Swap....

Finally my camera's charged and I can put up a photo of the gorgeous hexie I received from Joma in the forum swap.Sorry it's taken so long but my camera's been playing up.I think I'll be buying a new rchargeable battery next weekend!
I also wanted to say thank you to Joma for being my swap partner in this very different swap.I absolutely love the angel and can't wait to start on the next one.
