A finish.....

I finally finished putting my birdie blocks together today,I started yesterday and finished putting the border on today. This is a free BOM design offered by  from last year and if you're interested in doing your own quilt they're still on her blog for free download :)
The backing I used was "Bella" solid white and the fabric range is "Bliss".I think the fabrics go well with the stitchery design making a cool, crisp looking quilt top.
Another thing I've been working on while on holidays this week is to fill up my freezer with home-baked goodies,I forgot to take photo's of all that I baked but this is a photo of the cornish pasties and apple pie I made up yesterday......there were five pasties but my hubby and I couldn't resist having one each for lunch and then a slice or two of hot apple pie fresh from the oven MMMmmm.I'll list below a few of the things I managed to make while on holiday below,I've been a very busy girl and this time I cannot say " what did I do while on holidays" LOL.....
*Pean and ham soup
*potato & bacon soup
*Chilli con carne pasties
*Cornish pasties
*Baked pasta
*Bolognese sauce
*Sausage rolls
*Beef stew
*Chili con carne sauce
I'm tired just looking at all I cooked this week, lucky I love to cook and my hubby likes to eat my cooking!
