Slowly, slowly this stitchery is being worked on around other projects, deadlines and swaps and off course my never ending crochet blankets I’m also trying to fit in a few minutes here and there on my Rosalie Quinlan Scandinavian Roses stitcheries, I should have a progress photo to show you by this weekend if all goes to plan.

Another finish for June….
Finally finished crocheting a very simple edging around my willow blanket and couldn’t resist taking a photo of it on my bed, I’m really pleased with how this one has turned out and I can see the beginning of how I’d like my bedroom to look…….. now I just need to get on with making a few small crocheted scatter cushions in red, white & cream with accents of blue and green to mix it up a bit What do you think?

Progress and trying something new …..
Here’s where I’m at with these willow blocks, first 26 coloured centres with a light grey edging…….Soooooo pretty! I think I’ll have enough of the grey to make a reasonable sized lap blanket woooo hooooo!!
Now to the something new……
I’ve been experimenting with making my own bread……
Which has now grown to this in just a few short hours! it’s nearly at the stage it will be pushing against the glad wrap soon……I so cannot wait to bake this ball of gooey goodness and turn it into a crusty loaf of home baked bread! I’ll post a photo tomorrow after I take it out of the oven

June FNWF’s Results….
Friday night saw m being naughty and starting a new crochet project using the willow block pattern I’m going to border the blocks with a soft silvery grey, this project is hopefully going to use up all those little balls of leftovers I have accumulated from other projects. I’m not sure what this one will turn into I’m just going to keep on making these blocks till I run out of wool, they might turn into a blanket or maybe a couple of cushions for our couch (or maybe both) time will tell
Now to sit with a cuppa and see what everyone else got up to and if you’d like to look as well just pop over to Cheryll's blog

1st finish for June….
this scarf is my first finish for June, can I tell you a secret…… it was meant to be something else but I didn’t have enough wool to do what I wanted so I adapted the snowflake blocks I’d already made and added a few more to lengthen it and TA DA!!! a scarf was made. I love it and can’t wait to wear it and this one is not going to be kept in a drawer and only used for special occasions either it’s going to be worn and worn often!
I also forgot to show a photo of the scarf I made for Keryn as a thank you for hosting us all this past weekend
This blanket is also nearing the finish line, I just need to crochet an edge around it and it will be done but it’s HUGE! so it may take me another week or two before I can call this one done and ready to use at the end of our bed it should look lovely sitting over the top of our white jacquard quilt

Ok now for the results of our weekend away…..
Sorry about the delay in the previous post but my windows live writer I use to blog with was refusing to post it on Friday and I decided to give it one last go today and guess what it worked but it should have been posted/dated for last Friday LOL, I suppose it’s better late than never! Anyway here are a few pictures of what we got up to……
We were spoilt rotten by Keryn all weekend and the food was restaurant quality!
Here’s a close up of the raspberry scones we had with home made raspberry jam and fresh cream……are you jealous yet?
Shez hard at work……
Cheryl stuffing her reindeer….
Shez filling her reindeer with rice so he’ll sit nice and steady….
Anne spilling her rice all over the place instead of into her reindeer lol…
Holding our reindeers carefully so we don’t stick our fingers onto the hot glue
Nearly there…..
Stop for a spot of lunch and nibbles…..
Home made beef and barley soup with freshly baked bread which were just delicious! hey Keryn if possible I’d love the recipe for the bread??
Putting our heads on, nearly finished…….Ooohhhhh
Cheryl’s deer…..
Shez’s deer…..
Anne’s deer….
my deer…. I know no red or white spots!
All together now….say cheese!
We finished the evening with a chicken & leek pot pie with a side salad, just utterly scrumptious and if I could have got away with it I would have tipped the bowl up and licked it clean!
dessert, too pretty to cut up, but cut it up we did and enjoyed it immensely!! Thanks you Cheryl for inviting myself and Anne and Shez to join you in your birthday celebrations and to Keryn for hosting the lots of us it was a memorable weekend and hopefully we may be able to repeat it if possible…..hint, hint……
