Friday Night sew In....Results

 I can't resist showing you a picture I took this morning on my 5km walk, no better way to start the day I think than watching the sun rise :) This is also another reason I haven't been blogging as much as I'm trying to get fitter and not sit at the computer as much :)

Friday night saw me doing some prep work for a project I'm going to be working on for 2016 with my dear friend Shez. Shez bought me this pattern as part of a Christmas gift and then couldn't resist buying it for herself and then we talked about working on it together over 2016 to keep each other motivated.....MMmm better get a move on I think as Sez and I are going to get together next weekend and delegate which blocks etc.... we'll be working on each month.....no pressure mind you LOL!

OK Shez traced out my first five only 12 more to go and then I might look at fabrics I want to use from my stash and maybe have a cutting session while I'm on holidays having a staycation next week :)



A 2015 finish I couldn't show you till now.....





2015 was a busy year for me crochet-wise, this beautiful blanket was made for an old work friend who was expecting her 2nd bub but I couldn't post about it as time ran away from us as the 2015 ended and it's only in the last week or so that I was able to meet up with my friend to hand deliver this blanket to her, needless to say she was very pleased with it, my friend gave me carte blanche with the pattern I could use with the only stipulation on the colours which as you can see I used a very soft pink, grey and white combination. I think it turned out beautifully and so did she so that's all that matters really :)

A little finish.....

I forgot to show you a little finish I made for a friend who asked me if I could make her a set of crocheted stacking baskets.....fiddly but well worth the time and effort to make them :)



Friday Night With Friends results....





Friday night had me crocheting a few more rows on my Scandinavian inspired blanket using Stylecraft Special DK in 8ply.....unusual for me as I predominately use 4ply as my go to yarn, still a long way to go with this one but it's crocheting up very quickly with the 8ply.

Sorry it's been a while, but I have been busy....

Finally finished my Spice Of Life blanket......

Worked on a baby blanket in grey, blue and white not my usual colours :)
I'll try to do a bit better with blogging this month, January has just flown by with starting back to work etc.....I'm still not able to use windows live writer and blogger isn't the greatest to try and use to do posts with but I will persevere :)
