I've been working on a few things over the last couple of months in the sewing room and thought I would show you some before shots of my very messy sewing room.I must admit this is the messiest I've ever let it get!
I'm planning on changing the blue and white gingham curtains around my tables with a lovely plain green trimmed with a white spot on a red background and then decorate the green with appliqur flowers made from some of my most favourite fabric.....very ambitious I suppose but I want my sewing room to be bright and cheerful.
I'm also going to be painting the built-in bookcase white and papering all my magazine holders with some pretty papers I picked up from spotlight.
The green pantry looking cabinet was made by my grandfather and I just replaced the mesh with a calico curtain and painted then sanded it back to reveal the cream underneath on parts of it.
I still have a long way to go,but I'll get there eventually.

Hi Barb!
he he he... you know what I absolutely LOVE to see? Messy sewing rooms! They inspire me - lots of 'stuff' to see everywhere! Actually... I'll clarify... they inspire me when they're not my own! LOL! When my own room is messy I just roll my eyes and close the door! I love the ideas you are planning, and I have to admit I was eyeing off the bundle of fat quarters on your lightbox... Tilda, by any chance?!!
Thanks for sharing!!!
Vikki xoxo
Ohhhhh I love your sewing room...you look like you are being very productive and having lots of fun!!
Lovely sewing room Barb, and it is a bit messy, but then you haven't seen my 18yr old DS's room. I would love to be able to poke around in your room, looks like there might be all sorts of wonderful finds in it.
Looks good to me. A treasure everywhere you look.
Barb- you call that messy! You would have a pink fit if you saw my room! I even have to sidle up to the puter!!! :-(
Barb, I think your sewing room is just amazing:) I don't see a mess I see the story of a sewing woman who leads a busy life......all those goodies to look through and to drool over:)
Your sewing room looks like you have been having lots of fun. The creative process can be a messy one sometimes.
Your sewing room is lovely, and you are going to be a busy lady!

Your sewing room looks full of inspiration - you are lucky to have such a large space. Have fun on the make over! I find my room never stays tidy for long.
