on my heart BOM........my version

I love Vicki's BOM she is doing on her blog.I was finally able to take photo's of the first four blocks but decided to do them in a totally diferent colourway. For my blocks I used a white homespun for my background fabric and for the applique shapes I raided my red and white fabric stash.I wanted the applique to stand out so I used black thread to blanket stitch around and then a dark green for the leaves.I jazzed them up a bit by adding black and white buttons where needed.I think they turned out quite well.I can't wait to start on blocks number five and six I'm thinking of turning the blocks into a table runner, what do you think?

GIVEAWAY UPDATE:
Don't forget you can still enter my GIVEAWAY on the post below till July 25th.

Barb, I love what you have done with Tozz's blocks! The colour selection is awesome. Yes, I think a table runner would look fantastic. No doubt you'll have it completed not long after the final block is available *winking*

They are just gorgeous blocks, love the drama of the red and white with the dark detail. That would make a great table runner.
