Another finish for 2010.....

I had this couch companion cut out, traced and ready to work on since early last year.,sitting in a zip lock bag. Finally I started on the embroidery section and this Friday I finished that and put it together today.I've made some changes to the pattern to make it easier for me next time I make it as the pattern had me stuffing the pin cushion before attatching it to the background fabric....way too hard to manouver when sewing it together on the machine so I unstuffed it reattached it again and then put the binding on before I stuffed the pincushion again.
I'll definately be making this again as it was fun despite the fustration with the pincushion,

I think my ziplock bag is related to yours, I have things like that everywhere. You did a great job on this project. This has got to go on my gift list for Christmas, thanks for the hints and saving us some trouble.

This is beautiful - gotta love those colours you used. The funniest thing just happened - the last blog I looked at had just finished this exact same project. Thanks for sharing.

Lovely work, Barb. Guess what - I have embroidered the exact same thing, back and front, and it is sitting in a plastic ziplock bag with cordinated materials (different from yours) waiting for me sew it. Thanks for your information re the Pin cushion. I must finish my one now. I've got a friend who I want to send to. I really enjoyed embroiderered this one. Me too - I'll do this one again. Keep on doing your UFOs. Hugs, Donna in Brisbane.

This one is so cute. Love the fabrics you have used in it. I have made the stitchery for this one so perhaps I should make it a finish in march OPAM.
