Christmas through The Year

I finally finished putting this stitchery together last weekend but only just found the time to take a photo of it, this one is for me but I think I can see another one or two being worked on as I loved making this one up So this is officially my first Christmas finish for 2015 with Anni Down’s Christmas freebie coming in a close second.

I’ll be linking this up with Anthea who hosts this special event each month and gets us motivated to finish of our Christmas projects and into the finish basket, so a big thank you to Anthea!!!

Results for Friday Night Sew-In……

Friday night saw me finally finishing off this stitchery by stapling  it to a canvas, it’s now ready to go into the gift basket…..I know, I know I was going to keep this one for myself but as soon as I added the border to this stitchery I knew just who it needed to go to lol…. not to worry I have another one traced out and ready to stitch up for me this time with the leftover border fabric to make mine into a mini wall hanging for my free standing hanger

I also finished of this small freebie stitchery from Anni Downs so into the gift basket it goes for Christmas gift giving this year.

Friday night also saw me taking a break from stitching to work on these squares to turn them into…….

the start of another blanket but this time it’s not a baby one but queen size, it will end up being 15 x 15 squares and will be heading off to my Father-in-law for him to use in his raffle to help raise money for the club he’s in……wish me luck as it needs to be finished by early March YIKES!!! I better get my skates on!

I’m off for another cuppa and hopefully once all the household chores and grocery shop are done I can sit down and surf the other blogs that joined in Friday night and see what everyone else got up to. Thanks Wendy for hosting another fabulous night of sewing with great friends from around the world

A few finishes……

I finally finished stitching Anni Down’s “New day Stitchery” Now I just have to decide how I’m going to finish it off….maybe frame it or attach it to a canvas ??

This little Christmas stitchery is going to be a small wall hanging when I get a bit of time Friday night or over the weekend…..

This stitchery I have plans to use it in a A5 journal cover and then it will go into the present basket.

Lots on the go but no completed finishes yet, hopefully will have one or two finished by the end of this week/weekend

Friday Night Sew-in….1st for 2015

FNWF Results….

For our first Friday Night With friends I started a new project as you do LOL….

I have had this Hatched and patched pattern in my stash for a while, traced out,parlan attached to the back with the threads stashed all ready to be worked on for  at least a couple of years nowI hope to have this one finished soon. I have traced another one of this pattern and a few more stitcheries to be worked on over 2015 for the gift box, but this one will be for me woooo hoooo

I’ve also decided to join in with Terry again with her stitch-a-long and hope to use up my big box of 2 1/2’ squares from my stash for this project which will be starting in March, if you’d like to join in just pop over to Terry's blog and let her know you’re interested  Below is a picture I’ve borrowed from Terry’s blog to show you the one I’m thinking of doing with my scraps….

Friday Night With friends 2015…..

Tonight is the first Friday Night With Friends for 2015, who will be joining me and Cheryll tonight to stitch the night away? I’ve got my healthy nibbles organised ( I know, I know……but those few unwanted kilos I’ve gained are going to be shed this year!) I’m still in undecided on what I’ll be working on as I had a request yesterday for a new baby blanket from one of my friends at work whose sister is expecting a baby this year so you might find me rummaging in my wool stash today to start on this tonight or a UFO that’s been screaming at me for months to finally get finished…..MMmmmmm decisions, decisions
