FNSI Results….

Last night saw me finishing of this baby blanket, I worked on the edging with a picot stitch, very dainty and elegant…….

here’s a close up of the edging….. the mum-to-be requested the blanket be done in yellow and white and I thought with such  a delicate colour way it needed the yellow to be able to pop which I think I’ve achieved with this pattern I think the yellow would have gotten lost if I’d made it into a ripple like the previous baby blanket

Now it’s all nicely wrapped up with a pretty daffodil yellow satin ribbon ready and waiting to be given to the mum-to-be at her baby shower in April if you’d like to see what everyone else got up to last night pop over to Wendy's but make sure to grab yourself a cuppa before you do as I’m sure you’ll be sitting for a while admiring everyone’s creativeness. Baby blanket done and dusted……

Now to get the second requested baby blanket on my to-do list onto my finished pile……..wish me luck I have two more weeks to get this one done in time for her baby shower  in April

Block Two Finished….

Finally finished this block, I got side-tracked with another crocheted baby blanket I’ll post a photo of  it tomorrow once all the ends have been sewn in

Bendigo Woollen Mills…..

Today my sister Anne and I headed off to Bendigo to visit the Bendigo Woollen Mills and I must admit I thought I’d ended up in wool heaven! I was very good though and didn’t buy too much just a few balls I needed to finish off a couple of projects I have on the go……

But I just couldn’t resist this pattern called “Floral Beauty” which ended up coming home with me.I’m seeing this one made up with all my leftover wool from my many different projects so another long term project is on the horizon, the pattern calls for 8ply but I’ll be doing mine in 4ply and just making up more blocks till I get the desired sizing…….I know, I’m hopeless when it comes to starting something new before finishing off my many other projects   but on the bright side this one will be for me when it’s finished and that has to be a good thing

A finish for March!

I finally finished working on my FIL’s raffle blanket…….

All neatly folded and waiting to be hand delivered to my FIL at the end of this month when they come down to stay for the weekend …..PHEW!  Done and dusted!!  Now I just hope he likes it lol…..

FNWF Results….

Friday Night With Friends….

I’ll be joining in with a host of lovely ladies from around the world tonight to sit and sew but in my case sit and crochet there’s still time to join in here 

Sticky salmon with Asian greens….

Sunday dinner last night……looked really good but not too sure about the taste test I found the salmon just a bit too fishy for me but loved the choy sum ( Asian greens ) would attempt this again but with a white fish substitute next try, I must admit it’s nice to get out of my cooking comfort zone by trying new recipes.
