Cooking up a storm!

DSCF8999

When the cold weather hits I like nothing better than heading to my kitchen to try out some new to me recipes….the one above is a blueberry, lemon and pecan cake with a lemon/sugar drizzle spooned over it while still hot Smile

Here it is sliced up ready to try out with a cuppa, anyone up for a slice or two with me???

I’ve also been perfecting the art of bread making and this is my first attempt with making bread in a bread tin, it rose beautifully and tasted very yummy…..

I also made another batch of chicken and leek pot pies using my new ramekins and I can see me using these quite a bit in my cooking future….. I’ve also been relaxing at night with my Scandinavian stitches and crochet projects ( two on the go at the moment )  I’ll try to do another post with pictures of how I’m progressing with all of them soon. I hope everyone is staying safe and warm with all this chilly weather we’ve been experiencing Smile
