100_7234

OOOoooppsss I think I let the cat out of the bag when I included a note with the mug rug I sent to Shez (from http://shez-enjoyinglife.blogspot.com.au/ )as well as a return address LOL…….But I’ve been reminded that  it’s National Mug Rug day today so I thought I’d better officially fess up to my crime! hehehehe.

I just know how much Shez loves her mug rugs……

Just  quick post before I head of for the weekend to my in-laws, this is what I worked on last night filling in a few more circles with satin stitch, every little bit gets me closer to the finish I’ll be taking this with me as well and hope to get a bit more done while I’m away.

I hope everyone has a great long weekend, stay safe and I’ll see back here on Monday sometime.

Another finish…….finally!

DSCF7067

Finally finished my “TIs the season” quilt, I’d joined in Chooky’s stitch-a-long way back in 2011 and it’s taken me three years to finally get it quilted and bound…..I must admit that my very lovely sister Anne put the binding on for me or it would have been another three years before it reached the finished pile LOL…..I sooooo don’t like to hand stitch the binding down I’d much rather start a new project is anyone else like me or is it just me????

When I finished working on the house quilt I had enough pieces left over to make a smaller wall hanging version as well as……

Finishing a mini wall hanging with the leftovers so that’s another finish for the Christmas box and 2 more quilts ready to head off to the quilters this year.

Hopefully blogger will get it’s act together but until then I’ll use windows live writer and hope I can learn how to use it without too much trouble, it’s sooooo good to be able to get back into blogging I’ve felt like I’ve lost the use of my arms not being able to blog about what I’ve been up to hopefully it wont be as long before I post another blog post…..

WoooooooHoooooo I’m back!!!!!

Something for me :)

More photo's.....

I started working a few more rows of hubby's blanket and as you can see I'm making it in cammo colours, three rows of each colour and I have selected eleven colours to use so I have quite a few more rows to work on before I start to repeat the colours lol......I better get a move on this one as I want it for his birthday this July but if worse comes to worse he'll get it for Christmas this year is going to be a stress free year so no adding any pressure to myself this year and taking it day by day :)
I received this gorgeous snowman wall hanging and snap purse from my lovely bloggy friend Ondrea. Ondrea knows I love snowmen and purses so a great combination for me with this gift, thanks Ondrea I love both of them!
I also received this beautiful table topper, tree decoration and threads from another bloggy friend Vicki, I love the toppers design and how cute is that ornament? Thanks Vicki, it's friends like you and Ondrea that make blogging so very special :)
I'll be back later in the week to show you a finish and a couple of things I've been working on while on holidays :)

First finish for 2014 & swap gifts.....

I finally put the last stitch into this baby blanket and spent a few hours of the 1st day of 2014 sewing in the ends, so Sarah if you're reading this I'll try and remember to bring it in on Monday for you :)
Here's a close up of the pattern, just a basic ripple with alternating colours to bring in a co-ordinating pattern through the colours that I used.
Here it is all wrapped up with a big blue bow ready and waiting to be handed over to the mum-to-be on Monday :)
Now to start working more on Sharon's secret blanket and also a blanket I've started for my hubby for his birthday this year, will post a pic of hubby's blanket when I've worked a few more rows but you'll have to wait till the end of the year to be able to see Sharon's as there'll be no sneak peaks or glimpses on my blog to whet the appetite as Sharon wants it to be a complete surprise :)
This is the table runner I made for Pam in "Maree's" 6 item swap as her gift for under the tree.
This one was made for our work KK gift.
Final one and no you're not seeing double, well not totally double as I added prairie points around the whole of this runner and made it longer and wider for Carol my swap partner in the Santa Sack Swap as she requested :)
I still have a few more photo's of gifts sent and received to post about on my blog but time seems to be getting away from me so I'll try and do another post in the next day or so.
