Crochet flower medallion....

I saw this lovely flower tutorial at "A spoonful of Sugar's" blog last night and just had to make it so this morning I got out my trusty crochet hook and some 4ply baby wool I had hanging around from a baby rug I'd been working on.
The instructions were simple and easy after I realised some of the terminology was American and converted the stitches to Aussi.eg:dc was really treble and the sc was really double crochet for us over in Aussie land.
Thanks for the great tutorial and if you'd like to make your very own flower medallion pop over to Lisa's blog "A spoonful of Sugar" it's located on my side bar and check out what she used hers for......

Can a girl have too many bags???

I couldn't resist making myself another bag over the long weekend as well.I just fell in love with the main fabric when I spotted it at Spotlight and then I found the fat 1/4's to match and that was it a bag was born....

Nothing but sewing happening here.....

last weekend was a long weekend for us Victorians so I made the most of the extra day to catch up on some BOM's I've been working on.
I finally finished blocks 4 & 5 of Jenny's "Shabby Roses" and " A Tisket a Tasket 12 Months Of Baskets" by Bunny Hill designs. If you're interested in doing these blocks just click on the relevant button on my side bar and they'll take you to the designers blogs.
I just love how they're turning out.I'll take a breather from these now and start working on some new projects which really means finishing off some of my WIP (works in progress).Wish me luck I have a very looong list!

What do you think????

I'm thinking of adding this cushion to my Christmas in July giveaway that I'll be doing in a months time. What do you think? I know it's not a Christmassy saying but I love the red and white combination and it does go with the colour scheme I'm doing for the giveaway which is using red, green, white with a hint of gold.
So..... I need some input from you all on whether you'd be happy to have me add this to the growing pile of stuff I'm making for this giveaway?

Shabby roses BOM.....

Finally I've finished the first three blocks for this BOM just in time for blocks 4 & 5 which are out today.I absolutely love how they are turning out and I've just seen blocks 4 & 5 and boy I can't wait to start stitching these ones up as well.
If you haven't started on this BOM I suggest you get a hurry on and click onto the Shabby Roses button on my sidebar for Jenny's free patterns cos they only stay free for a short amount of time!

Peg Bag Swap....

Boy I think I'm getting addicted to swaps cos I enterd another one!
I've always loved the idea of a peg bag but I'd never made one so when a swap for one was posted on the craft forum I'm a member off I jumped on the peg wagon.

The first picture is the peg bag made for me by Jenny and I think it's devine and now hangs proudly in my laundry room keeping all my unruly pegs under control and contained.I absolutely love the fact that Jenny has decorated the bottom of the bag with prarie points!

I couldn't find a peg bag pattern I toatally liked so I made up my own design and then used a chook house applique to decorate the front.
I had a little giggle when I saw on jenny's blog that she'd bought a laundry helper ( a doll ) and the dress was made with the same material I'd chosen to make her peg bag in.

Thank you for being my swap partner Jenny and I hope we can be swap partners again in the future.

Cushion Cover Swap....

I entered another swap on the forum.I just couldn't resist making a cushion cover.
The first picture is the cover Iris Joy made for me.Isn't it beautiful and the heart stitcheries are just lovely and delicate looking.Iris Joy your stitching is so tiny and neat.
The second picture is the cover I made for Iris Joy.I love making things using applique and couldn't resist making her a cover using this method.
I hope Iris Joy liked the cushion cover I made for her because I certainly love the one she made for me.Thank you Iris Joy for being my swap partner and I hope we get partnered again in the future.
