Pictures from my USA trip last year.....

Last year in October/November my sister Anne and I went to America with friends from the blogging community Claire, Kim & Lyn...... I took over 2,000 photo's while there lol and that's not including the videos. I've had repeated requests to show some of them on my blog so here goes with a measly 48 lol. The photo above is a mural one of many to be  found in Hamilton, Missouri.
Anne standing in front of another stunning mural in Hamilton.
Stunning trees where our bus was parked in Hamilton, this is one of the things I really wanted to experience while in America the changing colours of these magnificent trees was truely a gorgeous sight.

This quilt was just breathtaking and was one of the special mementos I just had to  buy to remind me of my trip.

Group shot in front of the Pony Express.....
More murals......
I took lots of pics of these trees everywhere we travelled lol.....

Interesting sign.....
Gorgeous piona in one of the quilt shops in Hamilton....
Already getting ready for Christmas....
See that cushion with the truck on it I was going to buy this for you Shez but when I turned it over to see what the price was a great big spider was staring at me and I must admit to a very unladylike shriek as the cushion went flying and I went running lol.... so that's the story of how this particular gift didn't come back with me, it did give the other girls a good chuckle.....
Another display item, they had lots of old tins etc...
One of the many bedrooms we stayed in while in America....
Beautiful fountains.....
Kim and Anne at the entrance to our walk to the arch....
The Arch just as the sun was rising behind it.....St Louis

A collage of St Louis pictures.....
Even in America you still get drivers that don't know how to park lol.....
This gorgeous house is where the Quilters hall of fame resides, it was the home of quilter Marie Webster and built in 1902, I will do another post with more photos of what we discovered inside ☺....

A sneak peek inside Marie's home.....
Starbucks was my coffee lifesaver while in America, it was the 1st thing we sourced out even before looking for the quilt shops lol..... major coffieholic here and I was having serious withdrawals 😭
Gorgeous barn in Shipshewana where we watched the play "The Mousetrap"
Anothe item ticked of my to-see list.... a yellow school bus, I had our whole tour on the lookout for me lol......
Another gorgeous barn, so different from our barns....
A collage of barns we saw on our travels to different towns along the way....and pumpkins, lots and lots of pumpkins.
More murals, this time quilt blocks in Shipshewana....
Where we sat down for our first Amish meal, no photo's of the customers inside as a lot of the Amish community eat here and I didn't want to accidentally include them in any of my photos as it was frowned upon to take their photo's without permission first for face photo's but I did get photo's of the food which I'll post another time.....
Loved this clock and if I could have gotten it home I would have bought it, but weight allowances didn't make this feasible so a photo had to sufice 🙂
Let me tell you about their pretzels.... OMG they are just yummo, this one was a cinnamon and sugar variety and was big enough to be shared between the three of us with our morning coffee!!
This Christmas tree was just inside the door of the restaurant we had our Amish meal in..... lots more photo's taken....
Another collage of Autumn decorating in a few of the shops we went to....

Entering Chicago.....
On the way to the Starbucks we spotted on the bus on the way to our hotel.....priorities girls!

More city views, love the criss cross effect with the sun hitting these buildings....
Chicago behind us....

Mug shot....

One of the wall arts of blues artist "Muddy waters " later was told by our bus driver Bill that it was going to developed over so the next time I visited you wouldn't be able to see it due to another planned highrise so took a few quick photo's for my hubby....
Another collage of Chicago with Bill our bus driver.... I hope I haven't bored you with all these photo's but I must admit it's been nice to look at them again and I'll try and post a few more over the coming weeks ☺

Beautiful photos Barb! I love those quilt murals and many pumpkins. That quilt museum would have been awesome! Love the house. I love the barns they have over there. Is it true that Chicago is known as the windy city? Lol about the cushion😀 It would have been lovely sitting with the Amish people eating. So many awesome reminders of your trip. (Istill haven't put all mine in albums). Jot things down before you forget. Ooooo, did you really buy that quilt or a pattern for it?
